Paddy is automatically transferred between stages using elevators, enabling fully automated, streamlined production.

Hydrothermal treatment technology

We use an advanced hydrothermal process to produce parboiled rice. Cleaned, unhulled paddy rice goes through soaking, steaming, and drying stages, during which pigments and nutrients from the husk and bran layers are driven into the grain through reverse osmosis.

The high-temperature soaking stage allows the rice to fully absorb water, preparing the starch for pre-gelatinization. During the steaming phase, the rice is exposed to high-temperature, high-pressure steam, which ensures thorough pre-gelatinization of the starch—this is also the key stage where the color of parboiled rice changes. By adjusting the process parameters, you can achieve different shades of parboiled rice.

Finally, the drying stage removes excess moisture from the steamed paddy, bringing it down to safe storage and processing levels.

Enhance the value of rice

The parboiled rice production line allows vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber from the husk and bran layers to penetrate into the endosperm under hydrothermal treatment. This process optimizes the starch structure, slowing down digestion and reducing the rate at which it is converted into blood sugar. As a result, parboiled rice has a lower glycemic index (GI) and is recognized internationally as a healthy staple food, especially suitable for people with diabetes and those focused on weight management.

Parboiled rice retains more than 87% of the nutrients found in the germ and bran—far exceeding the nutrient retention rate of polished white rice, which is only about 5%. Its content of B vitamins and dietary fiber is 2–4 times higher than that of regular rice. With no need for additives, parboiled rice naturally carries the “healthy food” label.

In addition, parboiled rice commands a 5% higher market price compared to ordinary rice, offering both nutritional and economic advantages.

This dual approach not only shortens drying time but also ensures even moisture reduction across the grains, minimizing issues like stress cracks, breakage, and kernel damage.
