Equipment parameter adjustment:

Operation points:

Stable feed rate: Control the flow rate of the feed gate to avoid sudden fluctuations in flow rate. Excessive flow can easily cause equipment overload and result in broken rice grains; If the traffic is too small, it will waste production capacity.
Timely cleaning of sieve plate: If the graded sieve plate is blocked, the broken rice cannot be separated in time, and the broken rice will be sent back to the rice mill for compaction, resulting in an increase in the amount of broken rice.

With proper maintenance, milling machines that work every day can be easily used for more than 10 years. High-quality milling machines can even extend their lifespan to over 15 years.

Yes, the core difference lies in the physical properties of rice grains, such as hardness, grain size, and impurity content, which require targeted adjustment of equipment or parameters:
Indica rice: with a slender grain shape, low hardness, and fragility, it is necessary to use a light rolling rice mill, such as a combination of sand rollers and iron rollers, to reduce the milling pressure. The cleaning process needs to strengthen stone removal, and an additional specific gravity stone removal machine can be added.
Japonica rice: with short round grains and high hardness, it is necessary to use a strong milling type rice mill such as double iron rollers to ensure thorough hulling; The husking process requires an increase in the pressure of the rubber rollers due to the thicker shell of japonica rice, but regular replacement of the rubber rollers is necessary to avoid wear and tear that may lead to a decrease in husking rate;
Glutinous rice: high starch content, high viscosity, and easy to stick to equipment. It is necessary to add a “cold air cooling” step after rice milling to prevent rice grain adhesion, reduce the amount of polishing agent used during polishing to avoid excessive adhesion, and use anti-sticking graded screen mesh.

It is recommended that medium-sized and above production lines must be equipped with color sorting machines, while small-scale production lines can select according to the quality requirements of finished rice. Its core functions are:
Remove “discolored rice grains” that cannot be physically removed during rice processing, such as yellow rice, diseased rice, insect-infested rice, stones, glass shards, etc.
Improve the grade of finished rice: For example, the national first-class rice standard requires a yellow grain rice content of ≤ 0.5%, and manual selection alone cannot meet production needs. The screening accuracy of the color sorter can reach ≥ 99.9%.
Reduce waste: The color sorter can avoid selecting normal rice grains by adjusting its sensitivity (usually with a sorting error of ≤ 0.1%), making it more efficient than manual labor (one medium-sized color sorter can process 50 workers per day).
