Grain Dryer

Grain Dryer

A grain dryer is an agricultural machinery used for drying agricultural products or grains. It helps improve the storage stability and quality of grains. The grains after drying get their moisture content reduced to a safe level, and the drying process also kills insects and mold, which is more beneficial for grain processing, transportation, and storage. There are tower dryers and mobile dryers for you, suitable for large-scale and small-scale farms or grain processing plants, respectively.

Providing quality products and services.

Our grain dryers are made of special materials, making them lighter in weight compared to similar machines, thereby helping you save on shipping costs.

Our drying towers feature a low-profile design, making it easier to construct workshops for placement.

Our 5H series drying towers utilize auger-free elevators for grain transportation at the top and bottom, preventing grain breakage and loss during transportation.

Our drying towers employ a low-temperature, slow-circulating drying method for more even drying and prevention of rice kernel cracking.

ANON’s developed crushing moisture meter takes samples after each drying cycle, crushing the grains to measure moisture, providing more accurate results than surface detection methods.

We have a professional team and rich experience, and we provide 24-hour online service to answer any questions you may have. With more design options and different capacities to choose, we understand your needs better!

FAQ

How much does it cost to dry grain?
Typically, it takes about 3 litres of gas to dry 1 tonne of grain by 1%. Oil-fired dryers are slightly less efficient, and oil is currently more expensive than gas. The average price of gas in the UK is currently £0.74 per litre (18 July 2022) – this means it costs £2.22 to dry 1% of grain.

What temperature should the grain dryer be?
Maltsters, millers and seed producers require grain temperatures not exceeding 50°C. Do not leave the grain in the dryer for too long. Ensure there is adequate airflow. After drying, cool the grain to prevent the growth of insects and mites.

What is the process of grain drying?
Drying is a mass transfer process that removes water or other solvents from solids, semisolids, or liquids by evaporation.
